The ‘Pair’ creates Qi and energy, while the combination of Qi enables vitality. ‘The Pair of Harmony and Vitality’ is inspired by the ‘fist wrapping rite’ of Chinese martial arts, expressing the Eastern martial arts where manners are of utmost importance, and courtesy comes before movement. In the eastern plaza, a pair of hands combined with the lines of flowing water, expresses the fluidity of Qi with the movement of the hand. The image of ever-changing surroundings are reflected. This work hopes that visitors who come for exercise and play can come in harmony and create a beautiful vision of a city with vitality and energy.
