Beautiful Damselfly

The Chinese character “水” (shui), with a similar pronunciation to “beautiful” in Taiwanese, is added in front of the Chinese name, while a radical component “辶”, a semantic indicator of “walking or traveling,” is added to the second character of the name. 

Rice paddies have been inseparable parts of scenic memories of Taichung and damselflies prefer habitats with clean water sources.
