The Power of Art
Lin Shuen-Long Launched a Charity Sale and Exhibition for Ukrainian Children

As war continues in Ukraine, DADA IDEA’s art director Lin Shuen-Long launched a charity sale and exhibition in Taiwan for Ukrainian children by taking specific artistic actions.
At the concert titled Dreams for Peace & Hope on July 24, 2022, Ukrainian pianist Alex Pryrodny played piano and Roberto Zayas played guitar and sang, along with Lin’s works drawn from “Beyond the Border: Tide” (2016) on display, hoping to sow the seeds of peace and hope. The auction proceeds will be donated to Ukrainian children.
Lin Shuen-Long’s “Beyond the Border: Tide” (a.k.a. “Children of the World”) created at the Setouchi Triennale in Japan was inspired by a photo of a Syrian boy lying on the beach. In 2022, the auction and exhibition in Taipei for the Ukrainian war again evoke the vision of world peace through the power of art.
